Beautiful wedding bouquets can be made up of more than blossoms alone. In fact, some of my absolute favorite arrangements include unique or unusual details – like pine cones, succulents and even bright collections of autumn leaves. While I’ll always be a sucker for the fullness of peonies and the bright colors and modern look of gerbera daisies, sometimes it’s fun to change up the look of a bridal bouquet and berries are a beautiful way to do so.
There’s more than one benefit to including berries in your wedding day floral arrangements. First, these little bits of plant life come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. From jewel-toned blackberries to bright red hypericum berries, they can also be found in any season and make for excellent filler in bouquets. Even as a detail they add interesting textures to the overall look and feel of a bouquet, whether it’s wild and woodsy or packed with seasonal accents.
