Little White Dress Bridal Shop is a place where they love what they do and work really hard to provide an excellent wedding dress shopping experience, as well as, amazing designers to choose from. They work with designers who are not only wonderful people but who also are extremely talented and create beautiful gowns. Having the chance to sit down with owner, Cate Malone, it is clear that she totally understands what a special time this is for every bride and that Little White Dress is here to help!
Where do you start?
We really love making a great first impression here and love presenting a welcoming and friendly environment. We bring the bride and her guests to her area and we all sit down together.
Then, we say, so tell me about your wedding. We really pride ourselves in making a connection with our brides and knowing all the little details about her and the day that she’s been dreaming about. A lot of brides have been planning their wedding for a really long time so they have a lot of ideas, thoughts and opinions – and then other brides, they haven’t done that at all and this is brand new for them and are kind of unsure what’s ahead of them.
This is a great opportunity to educate the bride of all the different styles of wedding gowns there are so we usually suggest that she try on a variety of styles so that she can see herself in different necklines and different fabrics. We just want her to feel comfortable and see what she feels most beautiful in.
What sets Little White Dress apart from other bridal shops?
I think it’s our friendly and welcoming environment. It’s a very helpful and educational environment. We spend a lot of time with our brides learning about them, their style, their personality and their wedding. We also educate them a lot on the different designers, styles and fabrics so that they can make the best possible decision about the different options that are available to them.
Do you have a favorite designer?
We just got two new Jenny Packham gowns in the other day and I am in love, they are amazing! I just adore Claire Pettibone, she’s just genius and her new collection is brilliant as always. Matthew Christopher and Liancarlo.. it’s just too hard to narrow it down!
Do you have any advice for the bride on her wedding day?
The advice that I just gave my daughter on her wedding day and the advice that I give every bride is to just remember to take a moment whenever you can throughout the day to just look around you and take it all in. Really experience and be present for that moment and everything that is going on so that you can enjoy it and remember it.
